MARITIME IRON HOSTING SUPPLY CHAIN INFORMATIONAL WEBINARS

May 14, 2020, Toronto - Maritime Iron Inc. in partnership with local Chambers of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of supply chain information sessions across New Brunswick.

Maritime Iron is investing $1.5 Billion in Belledune, New Brunswick to build one of the world’s most innovative and environmentally responsible iron processing facilities. With nearby port access, a highly skilled labour force, and an adjacent generating station, New Brunswick is ideally suited for this facility.

Maritime Iron is partnering with local chambers to discuss the opportunities that exist for businesses and to learn about the project and the significant supply chain that exists for New Brunswick companies and suppliers.

Maritime Iron’s Chief Operating Officer and Project Director, Rinaldo Stefan said, “The information sessions will focus on the many supply chain opportunities that exist for New Brunswick companies and suppliers. Our objective is to raise awareness of the project and provide information so that businesses can plan for these opportunities.”

Maritime Iron is interested in identifying and engaging with many types of companies including contractors and suppliers for: 

-        Heavy equipment services                               - Site services

-        Construction and maintenance services          - Material supplies 

-        Engineering and technical services                  - Human resource and IT services

-        Health, safety, environmental & training services 

 

New Brunswick stands to gain 3,300 direct, indirect and induced jobs during the 3 years of construction. A further 400 direct, indirect and induced jobs will be created during the 30+ years of operations. 

These webinars are free and open to members and non-members of Chambers across the province.
